Eph’s contribution to the fabric of Canada has been recognized by his 1994 appointment as an Officer of the Order of Canada and his 1988 induction into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. For his life-long humanitarian work he has received the 1980 Human Relations Award from the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews and the 1979 State of Israel Prime Minister’s Medal for Humanitarian Services.
Eph Diamond was an engineering graduate from Queens University and served as an Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy. Sadly he passed away in 2008.
Eph’s legacy of integrity and fairness in his business dealings combined with pride, humility and a great sense of humour have inspired his family and employees of Whitecastle to continue his honourable traditions.
